From July 3 to 5, Praça da República in Braga will host the “Let’s separate the waste” roadshow, an initiative aimed at raising public awareness about the value of biowaste and encouraging the adoption of more sustainable habits.

The project’s official presentation takes place this Friday, July 3, at 10:30 AM, near the Braga Tourist Office. Attendees will include the Mayor of Braga, João Rodrigues; the Secretary of State for the Environment, João Manuel Esteves; and the President of the Portuguese Environmental Agency (APA), José Pimenta Machado.

Throughout the three-day initiative, various community-oriented activities will be held to reinforce the importance of the separate collection of organic waste and the reduction of waste sent to landfills.

According to the Municipality of Braga, the project aims to engage the public in the recovery and utilization of biowaste, contributing to more efficient and sustainable waste management and the promotion of good environmental practices.
